Okay, so I’ve been reading this series of essays by Nikki Benz since the beginning of the year, and I have to say, I am still learning a lot. I have been reading about the different types of awareness and how they relate to the different types of mindfulness that exist and how this awareness can be used in different ways.
Benz argues that we have a lot of awareness in different areas of our lives and that this awareness is not the same as mindfulness or compassion. In other words, we have to have awareness about what we are doing and why we are doing it. We have to be aware of our choices and our feelings, but we don’t have to be aware about our choices.

This is the first of two articles that will hopefully show you how we can apply mindfulness skills in different ways.
We should all be mindful of how we are acting when we act, not how we are feeling. Being mindful about our actions and why we feel the way we do, or even why we feel the way we do, we should try to identify how to act differently in a certain situation. Sometimes, it can be helpful to write out specific choices we have made and why we were feeling that way.
We all know how our actions can have negative effects on those around us. To prevent that from happening, we should look at our actions as opportunities to practice mindfulness. If you know what you want to do and you don’t, and you do, make sure you do it and then observe your feelings.
The problem is that we’ve all been told to “be careful” of our actions. When we’re not cautious of ourselves, we will become careless. We won’t be able to learn from our mistakes, so when we do, we can look back and get defensive. That’s when it can be helpful to write out specific choices we have made and why we were feeling that way.
The first step to becoming more mindful is realizing you are what you do. Your actions (and reactions) have an impact on your life and you have to make decisions that affect you. In other words, you have to be conscious of the consequences. It is a good idea to make a list of possible actions you could take and then make a conscious decision if you feel comfortable that you can do them. We can also make a list of things we want to improve in our lives as well.
Now the next step is to realize you are. The next step is to realize that things you do have a positive or negative effect on you. It is a good idea to take a look at what you might be doing that has a negative effect on you. We can also make a list of things we want to improve in our lives as well.
